Grades 9-12:

1. What is your only comfort in life and death?

That I with body and soul belong not to myself but to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ.

2. Why do you belong to the Savior?

Because with his precious blood He has satisfied for my sins and delivered me from the power of the devil.

3. How does this Savior preserve you in this comfort?

By obtaining for me the favor of God as my heavenly Father who so rules me, that all things work to my salvation.

4. How can you be assured of this saving comfort?

Only by the Holy Spirit who also makes me willing to live for Christ.

5. How many things must you know to enjoy this comfort?

I must know how great my sins and misery are; how I am delivered from all my sins and misery; and how I am to be thankful to God for this deliverance.
